The scenario above is common in the Las Vegas area because there are many unlicensed "Handymen" doing side jobs. Frequently, customers base their decisions on price alone.
Repair Masters makes the difference by providing information beforehand, in order to help you make the right decision. Step by step, here's our process checklist:
Step 1
A residential customer makes a call to our office with a request.
Step 2
We ask for a detailed description of the problem to ensure the project is within our scope of work. If the project is something RepairMasters is unable to do, we will give you a referral to someone who can help you.
Step 3
We explain our estimating procedures and make an appointment with you to view the project in order to give an accurate quote.
Step 4
A professional technician, who you can feel comfortable with in your home, arrives as scheduled to discuss the project.
Step 5
As the technician records your project, you'll be able to discuss options and preferences; this information is taken back to the office and an estimate is created for you.
Step 6
Depending upon the size of the project, we will either fax a quote or return to your home to discuss the estimate which will include: a thorough description of the work to be completed, the materials needed and a project completion time.
Step 7
Once you're satisfied with the estimate, you sign a service work order and a start date for the project is arranged.
Step 8
If the estimate totals more than $300 we will ask for half on start up and the rest on completion.
Step 9
If, during the job, you want any changes made, a change order will be signed and added to, or subtracted from, the original estimate.
Step 10
Throughout the project, a supervisor oversees all residential repairs to make sure things are being done correctly and according to policy, and to confirm that the customer is happy with the project's progress.
Step 11
When the project is complete, we leave your home in a clean condition and ask you to sign off, saying that you're satisfied with the work. We provide a copy for your records.
Step 12
We give you a follow-up call to check on your satisfaction with the quality of our work.
Step 13
Finally, we send you a thank-you card and we always ask happy customers for a referral to their friends and family!
